A group of 13 walkers completed a sponsored walk on Sat 1st July 2017 and raised a fantastic amount of money for the EBA. The walk was organised by Sue Macleod-Nice in memory of her son, Charlie who was born 6 weeks premature and who would have been 23 years old on 21st June. Although Charlie sadly died at three weeks old, Sue is forever grateful to the doctors and nurses at the Trevor Mann Baby Unit who tried to make him well. Over the years Sue and her husband Dave have continued to raise money for the EBA to support the unit and other parents and babies. They organise the walk to be around the time of Charlie’s birthday and he would have been 23 years old on June 21st this year. The 10 mile walk started at the Tally Ho in Old Town, Eastbourne over the Downs to Willingdon, then across to Stone Cross finishing at the Smugglers, Pevensey.
A huge thank you to Sue and Dave Macleod-Nice for organising this event in support of the EBA, and a massive thank you to all the walkers who took part.
