What is the EBA?

We are a group of parents who have had premature or sick babies in special care units. Many people do not realise that a baby born very early can survive to become a normal healthy child. We offer help and support to new parents who are facing the same traumatic experiences that we once faced.

Many of us felt that we wanted to show our appreciation for the care our babies received so we decided to raise money for the Trevor Mann Baby Unit at the Royal Sussex County Hospital. We receive donations and buy items ranging from vital lifesaving equipment, including a scanner, state of the art incubators, blood gas analyser and phototherapy units to clothes and nursery items such as pretty sheets and blankets to make the unit more homely.

We have now taken the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) at the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath under our wing and have started supplying the SCBU with items of much needed medical equipment and comfort items for the babies and their families.

For further information about the EBA please contact: info@earlybirth.co.uk or Trish Walker at the Trevor Mann Baby Unit, Royal Sussex County Hospital – Telephone + 44 (0)1273 696955 x 4195.

Your help and support is greatly appreciated.

The Early Birth Association are now set up with Justgiving. Here you can develop your own webpage for raising funds for The Early Birth Association / Trevor Mann Baby Unit / Princess Royal Hospital SCBU. The monies donated will be sent direct to our account along with the giftaid that it attracts.
